Handmade tablet woven wool band with sign of witch/toad that was found in Žąsinas grave.

Wooven according to a photo of an archeological find. Pieces of the strip were found in the Žąsinas grave in Šilalė district. This mark on the bands is also called the toad or witch mark. Seedlings, like horses on the roof of an old house, are considered a symbol of fertility. Horses protect the house from fire, misfortune and take care of the growth of the family. The hands from above and below seem to embrace the whole house into the arms so that only everyone is happy.
